Story and Setting

The game takes place in a fantasy world where mythology and fantasy collide. You play as a young mage as he ventures into the Labyrinth to slay the Minotaur, and the cult there to protect it. 

Mechanics

Labyrinthian is a 2d top down shooter where the player is a mage that uses spells to take down his enemies. Each enemy drops a soul, picking it up will reward the player with more uses of their spells. These spells can be swapped at any time, as long as the right book is on the ground. The enemy may also drop potions that can boost your health or boost your damage.

Being Done as a Part of a Game Expo

We made this  as part of Florida Polytechnic University's 2020 Virtual Game Expo. The games were all made by students and we had roughly a month to create our first games. The games will be published on November 20th and will be ready to play. There are some great games being made, so be sure to support them by voting!
